Warriors

This year we were in the privileged position of having enough boys to make up two 7/8 Basketball team for the Winter WCSSA Tournament. Both teams worked diligently in the lead up and made remarkable improvements in both skill and game play during our 7 week training period. 

The A team headed to Corio LeisureTime Centre confident that they had the goods to retain the trophy won the previous year. The day started well with a convincing win over Creek Street, courtesy of a very tight defence and a selfless offensive approach by all the boys. As the day progressed, the wins continued and Covenant A went into the grand final undefeated, as did their opponents, Melton A.

The grand final was hard fought, but in the end Melton A managed to take the win. Covenant A were obviously disappointed, but could walk away with heads held high after a day of hard work and great sportsmanship.

Covenant B also put in a great effort and managed to snare one victory for the day. They can also be proud of their efforts.

Well done to the boys from both teams!
